I took my first ceramics class my senior year of high school. I liked it so much that I signed up for the advanced class during the second semester, and that is where I learned to throw on the wheel. I didn’t do any ceramics until four years later when I was able to take the pottery class offered by my college which was so popular that I didn’t get in until my senior year! I am still a member of the same studio today!

I am extremely lucky to have my own home studio for throwing and creating my pottery. Thank you to my amazing husband for building it for me, and to my generous parents for the pottery wheel I use to make most of my pieces. My home studio is not self sufficient, I take my pieces to the local studio to be fired and glazed so I am at the mercy of their timing.
